☕️ Labor Day Hangs

with the best events going on throughout Chester County

Good Morning Chester County,

Who else always underestimates how TIRING moving is?

My wife and I moved back to West Chester, from Phoenixville, this weekend.

We packed ahead of time…even got movers (worth every penny)…and STILL, I’m sitting here writing this feeling like I just ran a marathon.

Regardless, we celebrated this move the same way we have each of our last 5 moves since she was in grad school at WCU…by eating waaay too much Benny’s pizza.

A few months ago I asked everyone how many different areas they’ve lived in the borough…and many of you have lived in multiple spots…so I’ve got a question for you below.

For now…

This is what we’ve got on tap:

  • How do you move?

  • The 82nd (!!) annual Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair

  • ChesCo Trivia Update From Last Week

  • +25 local events happening throughout the week

The Blend

A curated mix of local stories, updates, and announcements from our team.

🧐 You move, I move, he/she/we moves

Like I said above, my wife and I somehow created the tradition of ordering and eating Benny’s pizza every night we have moved.

So I was wondering..

Do you have any moving traditions?

The weirder/more obscure, the better! If you do...let me know in a comment after you vote!

♥️ Adoptable Pets of the Week

🐶 Meet Daisy

I only have one word to describe this lovely gal: underbite

Ok, I have many more words: sweetie, cutie, little nugget.

You get it. She’s a love bug that wants nothing more than to be given the chance at a forever home.

You both deserve each other. Click the button and make both of your dreams come true

🐱 Meet Eggland

Much like the eggs for which she is named after, she is the best.

A sweet girl who wants nothing more than to cuddle up and make you her best friend, Eggland will make the perfect companion in your home.

Give her a chance, you’ll be glad you did.

P.S. - If you’ve adopted a pet because of our newsletter, we want to hear from you! Reply to this email and tell us your story!

🤔 ChesCo Trivia

Last week we asked you to put your agriculture knowledge up to the test and guess how many individual farms are in ChesCo based on the 2022 Census of Agriculture.

That number is roughly 1,550!

Sadly, as pointed out by one of the members in the ChesCo Buzz community, that number is declining as it get's harder for the farms to sustain.

Chester County’s identity is colored by the great many farms who make our area such a unique place to live.

Do your part, and when possible, please support your local farmers!

We’ll be back next week with some more ChesCo Trivia 😁

A closer look at the standout event happening this week

When: Saturday, 8/30 - Monday, 9/1 All-Day Event

Where: Ludwig’s Corner Show Grounds, 5 Nantmeal Rd., Glenmoore, PA

What: Every year, Ludwig’s Corner becomes a gathering spot for neighbors, horses, food trucks, and fair fun. The Horse Show brings together riders of all ages for friendly competition, while the Country Fair offers rides, games, music, and a beer garden where you can relax with friends.

Kids meet barnyard animals or bounce around the midway, and there’s something for everyone, from local vendors to live performances in the event tent. Whether you’re a horse enthusiast or just looking for a laid-back day out, this event is all about community and good times.
