In case you needed a reminder that colder temps are on the horizon, mother nature made sure to deliver.

Wind gusts up to 30 mph and low 30s temps had me missing summer…

But, with the cold comes the fun of the holiday season.

🐱 Meet Mr. Fuzzy Nuts

If you’ve been reading the Buzz for a bit now, you know I’m a sucker for a pet with a hilarious name, so it’s no guess as to why I chose this week’s cat. Whether you decide to keep the name or change it is up to you, but Mr. Fuzzy Nuts (had to type it again) will be happy no matter what you call him. This old fella is ready to give you the love you’ve been waiting for.

A closer look at the standout event happening this week

This week’s featured event is the start of A Longwood Christmas @ Longwood Gardens

When: Friday, 11/21 - Sunday, 1/11

Where: Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Rd, Kennett Square, PA

What to expect: A Longwood Christmas is in my top 5 of “Must Do” events every year in Chester County.

Whether you’ve never been or you are an annual visitor, you’re in for a treat this year.

2025’s theme is the transformation of Longwood into a living jewel box.

Bring the family or go by yourself for a peaceful walk through the grounds. Outside, more than half a million lights turn the Gardens into a glow of emerald, ruby, and sapphire. You’ll see gem-like bonsai, glowing forms floating on the lake, and the Wildlife Tree dressed with faux pearls and gilded oyster shells.

Inside, the Conservatories shine with beautiful plants of every kind, crystal accents, and rich jewel tones. Look for the Music Room’s 12-foot tree rising from a jewelry box, the Ballroom’s community-decorated trees, and those “floating” trees in the West Conservatory. Plan time for the Open Air Theatre fountain shows and the Garden Railway, too.

When you need a break from your tour pop by one of the hot chocolate/egg nog trucks, the beer garden, or get some food in the café

It’s an easy, feel-good visit that delivers plenty of sparkle without trying too hard.

Just remember, by your tickets early because it starts to sell out FAST.

P.S. - If you look right now, you MIGHT be able to get a reservation at 1906 Restaurant when you go.
