Seems like you can’t throw a stone without hitting a great event going on.

Doesn’t matter if you’re looking to watch a 25+ foot effigy of a giant bird burning (more below for that), get your holiday shopping done at one of the largest markets of the year, or celebrate the season with crafting workshops or parades…there’s something for everyone going on this week.

Last week our featured event was the Yeager’s Farm Holiday Light show.

It is still going on throughout the season with options for guided tours with their staff, bike tours, or self-guided tours where you can stay in your own car and enjoy the 60+ acres of beautiful lights displayed throughout their grounds.

🐶 Meet Bonnie

One look at this sweet girl’s face and you’ll be ready to bring her home. Once you find out she’s got a sweet soul and gentle demeanor you’ll be caught hook, line, and sinker. Found as a stray, Bonnie starts shy and nervous. She walks well on a leash and simply is looking for the comfort of her new family. I think you’re the one she’s been waiting for.

🐱 Meet Apple Fritter

No, I did not decide to switch out adoptable cats for my favorite dessert this week. Apple Fritter is the name and being your newest feline friend is her game. She loves playing with toys and exploring her surroundings. Thinking of bringing home your very own holiday miracle? Look no further.

A closer look at the standout event happening this week

This week’s featured event is the Phoenixville Firebird Festival

When: Saturday 12/13/25 - Grounds open at 5 PM, The Bird Burns at 8!

Where: Reservoir Park - 601 Franklin Avenue, Phoenixville, PA

What to expect: The Phoenixville Firebird Festival is one of the most unique events throughout the greater Philly area. It’s an event locals look forward to all year & draws a crowd of thousands with people who travel in from throughout the country!

The event honors Phoenixville’s namesake with a massive 20-foot-tall wooden Phoenix statue that takes over three months and countless hours of volunteer effort to build.

The festival is all about art, culture, and the cycle of life and renewal. It’s a chance to come together, celebrate creativity, and enjoy amazing performances, local crafts, and delicious food. Best part? It’s completely FREE to attend!

My tips for a night you’ll enjoy:

• Plan your travel ahead of time. There are 3 bus routes that start at 4 pm and end at 11 pm. You can find that info by clicking here. Lines for the buses can get long, so be prepared to wait for a bit. Uber/Lyft is an option, and if you’re able, walking from downtown Phoenixville is not too bad.

• Dress warm! Yes, the fire burns bright but trust me when I say you’ll want to be bundled up.

• Grab some food ahead of time. There will be vendors serving food but lines can get long and the last thing you want is to be cold AND hungry.

• This event is pet-free, so the furry friends have to stay home
