☕️ THIS WEEK: NYE Celebrations Across the County
relax, rage on, or rest - choose your New Years Eve adventure
Good Morning Chester County,
I hope everyone that celebrates had a Merry Christmas!
Additionally, I hope anyone that ventured walking outside after the entire area got blanketed in ice successfully managed to stay upright (I had a few close calls myself).
The week after Christmas, things around the area tend to slow down a little bit (except for NYE celebrations), so if the event list seems a little light just know everyone in the area is recovering from a long holiday season.
As we move into the New Year, we’ll keep bringing you the best the county has to offer.
This is what we’ve got on tap:
A Thank You
Local adoptable pets who will make 2026 your best year ever
A New Year’s Day Run For A Good Cause
NYE celebrations aplenty!

The Blend
A curated mix of local stories, updates, and announcements from our team.
🙌 Thank You To…
A big thank you to everyone who reached out last week and gave their kind words.
I’ve had a blast writing ChesCo Buzz and connecting with everyone, but hearing your feedback and some of the good it’s doing means more than you know!
♥️ Local Adoptable Pets of the Week
🐶 Meet Luna
*sigh*
I wish Luna’s story wasn’t so common. Surrendered due to her previous owners no longer being able to take care of her, at 10 years old this sweet lady has had her world turned upside down. Despite her small stature, her heart is big and ready to give you all the love you can handle. Her only ask? She wants you to be her true forever family.
Think you’re up for the task?
🐱 Meet Black Birch
In lighter news, here we have a cat sporting a bow tie.
I really shouldn’t have to type anything else to get you to adopt this sweet 2 year old.
It’s a cat. Wearing a bow tie.
Adopt him.
P.S. - If you’ve adopted a pet because of our newsletter, we want to hear from you! Reply to this email and tell us your story!

The Featured Pour
A closer look at the standout event happening this week
This week’s featured event is the 18th Annual Stanley’s Dream 5k Run and 2.5k Walk

When: Thursday, 1/1/2026 - Grounds open at 5 PM, The Bird Burns at 8!
Where: Church & Market Streets, West Chester, PA
What to expect: Diagnosed with brain cancer at just 12 years old, Stanley Edwards was a young man with one dream: attending college. Although his fight with brain cancer tragically cut his life short at the age of 14, his family honors his memory & continues his legacy with the Stanley’s Dream foundation.
This race, and the foundation, helps fund college scholarships for graduating seniors and supports childhood brain cancer research with hospital grants. It’s impact you can feel: over $110,000 awarded to research, $96k in scholarships, and 60 students helped. The event is in-person with a virtual option, run, walk, or simply show up. Every step keeps Stanley’s dream alive for someone else.
