🍁 2025 Fall Guide Ideas

A big thank you to everyone who has participated in contributing towards the 2025 Fall Guide. After last week’s poll, I have a strong indication of what folks are interested in.

Some of you even provided great unique ideas that I’m going to include (best roads to view fall foliage, for example!)

I’m working on it… and although we’ll already be “in” fall by time it’s finished in early October, I’m hoping you all enjoy it and we can build on it over the next few years!

🐶 Meet Debi

Debi’s story is one that is, sadly, all-to-common in this area. A surrender from a commercial breeding facility in Lancaster, Debi is a 6 year old golden retriever who has had a tough life to say the least. Having only recently been rescued, she’s still learning to trust that true love can come from people, but she is beginning to warm up. They say that there is nothing quite like a mother’s love, and Debi is learning to show it in her own way. She is looking for a family that will be patient with her as she learns to live indoors and trust people. I know that she will be one of your new best friends. Give her a shot.

🐱 Meet Biscuit

Don’t let her striking eyes and RBF fool you, Biscuit here is a sweet heart. This 6 year old love bug is a low energy lady that wants nothing more than to find a good sun spot, enjoy her time, and give you some love. There’s something sweet in that simplicity. She’s looking for her forever home, and we’re hoping you’ll help her get there.

This week’s featured event is the 50th Anniversary Dressage at Devon

When: Tuesday, 9/23 - Sunday, 9/28

Where: 23 Dorset Rd, Devon, PA 19333

What to expect: Looking for a unique local experience? Dressage at Devon is one of those events that’s tough to describe until you see it for yourself. Imagine ballet, but on horseback. And this year’s 50th anniversary is sure to set itself apart from the past.

Although this event happens in our backyard it pulls in a national crowd. You’ll catch everything from young foals to Olympic-level competitors showing off the power, grace, and artistry of dressage.

This isn’t just for horse lovers; the whole event is packed with family-friendly activities, food vendors, and a festival atmosphere.

Sunday is especially great for kids, with fun contests and hands-on learning. Whether you’re curious about the sport or just want a fun day out, you’ll find plenty to enjoy. Think gourmet eats, cool shopping, and a chance to watch world-class athletes in action. If you’re looking for something different to do, the 50th anniversary of Dressage at Devon is worth checking out.
